Strengthening Evidence-based Practice in P/CVE with the INDEED Repository of Studies on Risk and Protective Factors (Journal for Deradicalization)

Research on risk and protective factors has significantly increased in the field of Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE). However, it has become challenging to put evidence into practice due to access barriers and the rapid expansion across multiple disciplines. In 2022, the Horizon 2020 INDEED project launched a free online database that is updated frequently to assist. This article examines how the INDEED repository supports program design and evidence-based policing through expert guidance and training, thereby facilitating evidence-based P/CVE. It also describes the advantages, restrictions, and prospects of the repository.
