The website counter-terrorism.org is a project of Policyinstitute.net. It has been our mission, since 2017, to deliver reliable and purposeful analyses with a view on soft security.
On the website counter-terrorism.org, we cover the following subjects:
- Prevention of violent extremism (PVE)
- Countering violent extremism (CVE) through soft means
- Deradicalization
To date, the overarching think tank, Policyinstitute.net, maintains four project websites. Besides counter-terrorism.org, these are preventhate.org, strategism.org, and sahara-sahel.org. The ambits of these three sites are self-explanatory.
Policyinstitute.net’s founder, Thorsten Koch, MA, PgDip, is a journalist, social science researcher and author, and not-for-profit NGO Manager. He used to serve as Senior Expert on Mauritania and, for years, has engaged in the promulgation of soft security, thereby informing a large network of scholars and practitioners.
