The European Union, UNODC, and UNDP have started a new regional project to stop violent extremism online in Asia. By strengthening institutional capacities, encouraging evidence-based tactics, and improving regional cooperation, this program tackles the growing threat of digital radicalization. In order to combat extremist narratives and online recruitment, it emphasizes empowering civil society, fortifying legal frameworks, and encouraging multi-stakeholder interaction. Along with highlighting the significance of protecting human rights while putting preventative measures in place, the program seeks to assist governments in creating inclusive, resilient digital ecosystems that lessen susceptibility to online extremism.
